Some drier air may try to move into the southwestern portion of our region later this afternoon, and this may result in the snowfall decreasing (or at least a lessening) for places like Jamestown, Fargo and Aberdeen. A steady snow will be likely through the morning, and at times it may be heavy. Nonetheless, the snow will likely move into those areas fairly soon. ![]() Most places at this time are already seeing snow, with the exception of a few locations in the extreme northeastern portion of the region. Lingering snow showers will be possible across the area early Sunday morning otherwise expect mostly cloudy skies for Sunday.įARGO - Saturday, March 11, 5:30 a.m.: Snow continues to expand across the Red River Valley this morning. Snow showers will be likely overnight tonight as the low pressure moves to the east, but the winds will likely diminish after sunset, resulting in a reduction of blowing and drifting snow potential. The steady snow across our northern counties will likely continue into the early evening hours as the area of low pressure responsible for this snow moves through North Dakota.īy the mid-evening hours, the area of low pressure will likely pass over our region, thus bringing an end to the steady snow in the northern portion of the region, but not an end to the snow. Snow is, however, ongoing across the northern portion of the region and this will likely remain the case for the remainder of the afternoon. FARGO - Saturday, March 11, 12:20 p.m.: The snow is beginning to taper down across the southwestern portion of our region as drier air moves in.
